Beyond Belief is an award-winning documentary film by director Beth Murphy and Principle Pictures. Released in 2006, the film documents the collaboration of Beyond the 11th founders Susan Retik and Patti Quigley as they journey to Afghanistan to meet the Afghan widows they have worked to empower.
Their husbands were murdered. A colleague was kidnapped. And a nation on the other side of the world cries out for help. Now, two 9/11 widows fight their own war on terror. As they make the journey from comfortable suburban neighborhoods to the most desperate Afghan villages, they discover a powerful bond with each other, an unlikely kinship with widows halfway around the world, and a profound way to move BEYOND BELIEF.
